RCap Reflective Commercial Roofing is Available!

RCap highly-reflective cap sheet (California Title 24 compliant, CRRC listed) is now available. Two versions are available: either 624 RCap SBS with modified asphalt, or 524 RCap Plus with conventional asphalt. Architects, building owners and contractors prefer Malarkey RCap as the topmost layer of a reflective built-up roofing system.

Choose Malarkey EZ-Ridge for an elegant, high-definition accent to your roof. EZ-Ridge is made with SBS modified asphalt which makes it flexible and more impact-resistant than standard asphalt ridge shingles. Available in twenty-seven colors, EZ-Ridge easily matches practically all the shingle colors on the market.

What we can best describe, as “competitive madness” appears to have gripped our industry. Elevation of warranty lengths by some manufacturers triggered a mad dash by others to lengthen their warranties.

Malarkey has and will continue to provide the market with products having real advantages, not just words on paper. Our SBS modified shingles are superior in performance to any other shingle on the market.Our SBS shingles not only survive wind and hail storms that destroy other products, but also, have dramatically better granule adhesion. This, of course means, that they perform better and last longer, and that, we think, is what the customers really want.

We also created the Zone™ so laminated shingles can be easily, quickly and correctly installed. The Zone also eliminates troughing and the leaks that come with it. We introduced the first metric shingles, the first metric BUR rolls, the first class A fire rated SBS systems over wood decks, the first 3M™ Scotchgard™ Algae Resistant Roofing System shingle, the first SBS hip & ridge shingles, the first SBS commercial base sheet, and so on and so forth.

These are examples of REAL PRODUCT ADVANTAGES, not just words on paper. However, when all other manufacturers elevate their warranties, we are left with no choice but to change our warranties in kind.

Therefore, effective January 1, 2002 we announced the “Your Choice Warranty Program.” With this program our Highlander-CS™ shingles now carry a 30-year limited warranty, our Northwest XL™ shingles carry a 40-year limited warranty and our Legacy shingles have a 50-year limited warranty.

In addition to these changes, we also offer our customers the option of selecting any our competitor’s “like product" warranties in place of our standard warranties. What that means is, if a customer chooses our shingle, but wishes to be covered by another manufacturer's warranty, we will live up to the warranty of their choice. We provide our customers with new, updated warranty forms which also allow for the selection of other manufacturers warranties.
