Mechanically Fastened, Modified Base Sheet

Made with our industry-leading Polymer Modified (Rubberized) Asphalt, OmniSeal® Base is our premium, mechanically fastened, modified asphalt sheet for low-slope commercial roofing applications.

Product Details

System Optionality

OmniSeal® Base is a modified asphalt sheet that is used as a base sheet to create a 2-3 layer multi-ply system that meets desired performance, cost, and warranty needs.

Mechanically Fastened

OmniSeal® Base is designed to be attached to the roof deck using capped nails. Polymer Modified (Rubberized) Asphalt seals around the nails to waterproof the penetration.

Fire Rated Roof System

OmniSeal® Base can be used to cover an existing roof or cover a new roof deck. It is a mandatory component to achieve a Class A fire rating when paired with our 420 OmniSeal® SA Base/Ply Sheet.

Key Features

Modified Asphalt

Made with proprietary Polymer Modified (Rubberized) Asphalt for exceptional weathering and extra strength, flexibility, and durability to resist damage and last longer.

Mechanically Fastened

Sheet is applied with specified metal cap nails.

Multi-ply System

Can be combined with conventional or modified asphalt sheets to create multi-layer redundancy and satisfy performance need, cost, or warranty.

Strong & Durable

Modified asphalt sheets are constructed with a sand and/or polypropylene surface to improve walkability and safety, and an underside of aggressive, asphalt-based adhesive to ensure adhesion. The sheets are reinforced with rubber and plastic polymers on a non-woven fiberglass mat.

Combined with other sheets for redundancy, modified asphalt delivers greater tear strength than conventional built-up roofing membranes for extreme, lasting durability. Up to 240 mils thick in a 3-ply system, 6X thicker than common single ply roofing systems.

Waterproof System

Naturally waterproof asphalt, built into a multi-ply system, helps resist water penetration.

Impact Resistant

Class 4 impact-rated when used as a system, the highest rating available from Underwriters Laboratory.

Enhanced Warranty

Enhanced warranties are available when product is used in a complete roofing system of Malarkey shingles and accessories, and installed by a Malarkey Certified Contractor.

Fire Resistance (FR)

Class A fire rated in a system assembly over a combustible or non-combustible deck.

Advanced Adhesion

Among industry’s highest adhesion uplift rating for greater confidence sheet will remain securely in place after installation.
