Malarkey Roofing Products recently worked with the Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association (ARMA) to complete Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) focused on both steep and low slope roof systems. An EPD is a standardized way to help customers better understand the sustainable qualities of a product and its environmental impact over time. As one of several ARMA members, Malarkey contributed data for the industry studies.
Traditional underlayment is commonly referred to as felt or tar paper, and is made of paper saturated in asphalt. Malarkey’s new SecureStart™ Plus, however, is an advanced lightweight, synthetic underlayment for steep slope residential roofs. SecureStart™ Plus is comprised of five layers which provide secured redundancy and improved durability.
For many years, our loyal contractors asked us when we would create a certification program for residential contractors.
